Zhu Xiaobo, director of Shanghai Pudong Charity hospital, is originally the director of burns, scar healing and hand function resumption center of the seventh people hospital of Shanghai city. He established the specialty of charity burns and scar healing after his succession. The specialty is a characteristic one of the seventh people hospital of Shanghai city; it is the only specialty in China aims to cure and prevent scar as well as the advanced major, characteristic specialty and project of Public Health Department of Shanghai city. The specialty defines criteria of estimating scar healing according to experience of years of healing scar. The criterion is proved to be brief, practical and operable after clinic observation.

    After years of constructing and perfecting, the burn and scar healing specialty makes today’s achievements:
     1. In October 1995, Dir Zhu set up the scar healing researching subject in burn department of the seventh people hospital. It became the advanced and characteristic specialty of Shanghai Public Health Bureau.
    2.In June1998, Dir. Zhu set up independent scar healing department and scar healing lab.( scar healing department owns 8 beds, 1 scar healing lab)
    3. In December 1998, the scar healing department moved to new wards.( sickbeds boast to 24, 1 scar healing lab)
    4. In April 2000, scar healing department and burn department jointly set up burn, scar healing hand function resumption center, Dir. Zhu worked as the director of the center.
    5. In May 2001, the burn center website was established.
    6. On March 28th, 2002, the center established Chinese fire medical treatment website (http://www.120119.com) jointly with Chinese fire association.

    In the past years, the specialty obtained a few awards with help from specialists:
    1. The third prize of Shanghai scientific technology advancement award in 1999
    2. The second prize of scientific technology transforming award of Shanghai Pudong New Area in 1999
    3. Prize of Shanghai Pudong New Area development award in 2000
    4. Prize of Shanghai advanced medical specialty award in 2000
    5. The national patent for invention of the People's Republic of China in 2001. In June of the same year, the invention is granted with the patent number ZL 97 106446.6. International patent number: A61K 38/18.
    6. Prize of Yangtze River Cup medical development award of Shanghai Pudong New Area.

    With these honor, Dir Zhu was appointed to be Director of Shanghai Pudong charity hospital, Shanghai Pudong Yangjing Community Health Service Center. Dir.
